Appointing a guardian

We received a client who wanted to be appointed a guardian for the body and property of a “sheltered person” (somebody not able to make independent decisions).
Even though the sheltered person has a father living abroad, the office convinced the court and the Attorney General that it benefits the sheltered person to appoint our client as a guardian of the sheltered person, despite not being a relative of his.
